APPLICATION STATUS AND DEVELOPMENT TREND OF PVC PIPE
Development of PVC pipe:
Our machinery can produce 16-110mm PVC pipe line. Nowadays, PVC pipe has the advantages of the lowest ethylene consumption and the lowest production cost in general resin production. The ethylene consumption per ton of PVC is 0.5314 tons, while the average consumption of ethylene per ton of polyethylene is 1.042 tons. The consumption of ethylene per ton of PVC resin is about 50% less than that of polyethylene. The chlorine gas used in PVC production is an important way to balance the chlorine produced in caustic soda production. Caustic soda is an essential raw material for national economy. In addition, from the point of view of plastic products, PVC has good compatibility with various additives, and a large number of low-cost fillers can be added into the production pipes, which greatly reduces the production cost. Compared with metal pipes, the energy consumption of PVC pipe is 316kj / m3, that of aluminum is 619kj / m3, and that of PVC is 70kj / m3, which means that the energy consumption of steel is 4.5 times that of PVC and that of aluminum is 8.8 times of that of PVC. And the processing energy consumption of PVC pipe is only one third of that of metal pipe with the same diameter. At the same time, due to the smooth wall of PVC pipe, no corrosion and high water delivery efficiency, about 20% of electricity can be saved for infusion. PVC pipes have good mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance. They are light in weight, easy to install and do not need to be maintained. However, due to the easy corrosion in the process of use, PVC pipes must be often coated with coatings, and the maintenance cost is high. Generally, metal pipes used in buildings and public works need to be replaced in about 20 years, while PVC pipes with good function and processing have a service life as long as 50 years.
Therefore, PVC pipe production line is a good plastic product with low production cost, high strength and corrosion resistance. Generally speaking, in terms of sewage, waste water and ventilation pipes, PVC pipes save about 16-37% of installation and labor costs than cast iron pipes; 30-33% of costs can be saved as conductor pipes than using metal wire casings; while in terms of cold and hot water, PVC pipes save 23-44% compared with copper pipes of the same size. Therefore, due to the advantages of PVC pipes, all countries are actively developing and promoting PVC pipes.
